Here at Buy1Oils we use Schaeffer's Citrol® cleaner nearly every day as a general-purpose cleaner because Citrol® is effective plus it's biodegradable. 

Citrol® is made with organic citrus-based solvents and a surfactant-emulsifier system that helps it attack greasy messes. Schaeffer’s Citrol® 266 is safe when used according to the directions. It outperforms solvent, solvent emulsion and alkaline cleaners for removal of heavy greases, carbonized oils, gear lubes, grease buildups, oily deposits, tar and bituminous deposits. Equally effective in soak tanks, sprayers and manual cleaning methods and in high pressure cleaning applications outdoors. It is one of the few solvents tough enough to remove stubborn printer's ink.

Reduces Environmental Reporting Requirements

Citrol® is a powerful degreaser that falls outside the EPA and OSHA hazardous waste regulations when mixed with water. Schaeffer developed the product because the EPA and OSHA are moving towards requiring gallon for gallon "use-and-disposal" records of all petroleum products. This means if you buy 55 gallons of kerosene or Stoddard Solvent, you will have to account for the disposal of all 55 gallons.  Use Citrol® as replacement for hazardous, environmentally unacceptable solvents.  Citrol® is the biodegradable, citrus based solution.

Citrol® also saves you money because you use less. In fact, for most jobs, it dilutes 5:1 with water. Best of all, Citrol is 99% reusable. After settling and top skimming, Citrol retains its powerful cleaning ability. This cuts disposal fees because you discard only the oily contaminates, not the cleaning product. For lighter jobs, dilute Citrol with water, up to 15:1. On very light jobs like cleaning floors, stripping wax, up to 20:1 and more. Try different concentrations to see what works best for your situation.
