Schaeffer's 9000 SynShield® OTR Plus Full Synthetic CK-4 5W-40 (12-Quarts) is specially formulated to provide maximum protection against wear, oxidation, deposit formation, soot contamination and aeration. SynShield™ OTR Plus SAE 5W-40 provides improved fuel economy, equipment durability and longevity. It is a premium, advanced performance, full synthetic, heavy-duty diesel engine oil.  Schaeffer's SynShield™ OTR Plus SAE 5W-40 diesel oil is based on the same high-performance additive technology found in the SynShield® Durability Advantage 15W-40.

SynShield™ OTR Plus SAE 5W-40 exceeds the requirements for API heavy-duty diesel engine oil Service Categories: CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4, CI-4 Plus and older.

Blended into SynShield™ OTR Plus SAE 5W-40 are two proven frictional modifiers, Micron Moly®, a liquid soluble type of moly and Schaeffer’s own proprietary additive Penetro. These frictional modifiers prevent metal-to-metal contact and damaging frictional wear. You can expect:

• Extended oil drain capability and intervals.
• Cold cranking and oil pumpability at low temperatures.
• Strong oxidative stability.
• Excellent resistance to thermal degradation.
• A high viscosity index.
• Improved fuel economy-up to 5%.
