Buy 1 Oils was founded in 2010 by brothers Richard and David Imus. They saw firsthand how difficult it was for customers to find a reliable source for genuine Schaeffer Manufacturing products, and set out to fix that — building a store where people could buy authentic Schaeffer lubricants with confidence, backed by real product knowledge.
Ownership of Buy 1 Oils has since passed to Herbert Oberg, but the mission the Imus brothers started with hasn't changed. As of July 2026, we've fulfilled over 15,000 orders — and we're still guided by that same simple idea: make it easy to get the right Schaeffer product, from a source you can trust.
