Schaeffer's 197 Moly Pure Synthetic Grease NLGI #2 (35-Lbs) 

Schaeffer's 197 Moly Pure Synthetic Grease occupies a specific and critical position in the grease selection hierarchy: when operating temperatures exceed what any soap-base grease can survive — or when extreme cold demands immediate low-temperature pumpability — the bentone base and pure PAO synthetic chemistry of the 197 is the correct answer. Compounded from the highest quality polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base oils with a bentone (clay) thickener, this grease has no conventional dropping point — it does not melt and separate like soap-base greases. Its operational range of -50°F to +500°F reflects the thermal stability of the PAO base combined with the inorganic bentone thickener structure. 

Technical performance properties:

• Wide temperature range: -50°F to +500°F — no dropping point; functions where lithium, lithium complex, and calcium greases fail
• Molybdenum disulfide EP additive — solid lubricant film provides protection under extreme pressure and shock loading
• Excellent anti-wear and extreme pressure load-carrying properties
• Strong resistance to water washout — protects moisture-exposed applications
• Rust and oxidation inhibiting characteristics
• Compatible with all seal materials
