Citrol 266 Cleaner Degreaser Gallon
Here at Buy1oils we use Citrol cleaner nearly every day as a general-purpose cleaner because Citrol is safe plus it's biodegradable. Fifteen seconds after pouring-and without rubbing Citrol's powerful ingredients begin to dissolve and lift the grease. Within one minute, the lubricant and grease begin flowing down the (disconnected) drain. The competitor's did nothing, even when rubbed with a shop towel say the testers from Schaeffer.
Schaeffer’s Citrol 266 is a safe, biodegradable degreaser with astonishing cleaning power. It outperforms solvent, solvent emulsion and alkaline cleaners for removal of heavy greases, carbonized oils, gear lubes, grease buildups, oily deposits, tar and bituminous deposits. Equally effective in soak tanks, pressure spray, foam on and manual cleaning methods, or in high pressure cleaning applications outdoors. One of the few solvents tough enough to remove stubborn printer's ink
Reduces Environmental Reporting Requirements
Citrol is a powerful degreaser that falls outside the EPA and OSHA hazardous waste regulations when mixed with water. Schaeffer developed the products because the EPA and OSHA are moving towards requiring gallon for gallon "use-and-disposal" records of all petroleum products. This means if you buy 55 gallons of kerosene or Stoddard Solvent, you will have to account for the disposal of all 55 gallons. Citrol is the biodegradable, citrus based solution.
Super Concentrated General-Purpose Cleaner
We always buy Citrol gallon containers. When it comes to using Citrol as your first choice in cleaners, don't stop at work. Citrol works great at home as well. Keep a can in your work shop, garage and laundry room for hundreds of other applications including:
- Candle Wax
- Car Grease
- Crayon Marks
- Magic Markers
- Soap Scum
- Scuff Marks
- Shoe Polish
- Tree Sap - And much, much more!
(Note: Spot test in small area prior to overall use.)
Here is what one of our customers said recently about Citrol
"I bought 4 gallons of Citrol 266 from stores.buy1oilsoil.com and I've given away a gallon so far and they love it. I was impressed at first but even more so after I tried it on oil spots, caked on cooking grease, BBQ grease stains on a deck. I haven't even used it on my stuff. I've been demonstrating it to friends. My friends call me Chemical Chucky because I'm known for using "effective" cleaners. This is one of my new ones, Great Product."
-WARNING: DO NOT USE ON OVENS-
Cuts the Heaviest Grease
Nothing is heavier than open gear lube. It's thick, it's tacky and it sticks to anything it touches, even worse than tar. We compared Citrol and one of our leading competitors. We coated a stainless-steel sink with our hardest-to-remove grease - Schaeffer's Silver Streak Open Gear Lubricant. We poured two ounces of #266 Citrol on the right and a leading competitor on the left.
- Use Citrol Straight or Diluted with Water -
Industrial Plant Degreaser: to degrease mill stands, plant machinery, forklifts, conveyors, oil cellars, tar pumps and valves.
Industrial Cleaner: To clean floors, walls, production machinery and mobile equipment.
In the Shop: To degrease engines, transmissions, motors, housings, parts, floors, walls, and remove road tar and grime from trucks, dozers and tractors.
Replaces the Need for Vapor Degreasing & 99% Reusable
Citrol also saves you money because you use half as much. In fact, for most jobs, it dilutes 5:1 with water. Best of all, Citrol is 99% reusable. After settling and top skimming, Citrol retains its powerful cleaning ability. This cuts disposal fees because you discard only the oily contaminates, not the cleaning product. For lighter jobs, dilute Citrol with water, up to 15:1. On very light jobs like cleaning floors, stripping wax, up to 30:1 and more.
Citrol's advantages over other solvents:
Biodegradable - Environmentally safe - Non-toxic - High solvency - Not regulated (when mixed with water) - High flash point
Citrol is a superior replacement for:
- Hazardous solvents
- Chlorinated solvents
- Aliphatic solvents
There are dozens of ways to use Citrol as a parts degreaser - Use in pressure washers (but not steam cleaners) - Dissolves paraffin waxes - Removes ink for rollers and packaging machines - As a safety solvent - As a paint and lacquer thinner - For degreasing and cleaning plastics* - Dissolves glue and adhesives - Removes tar and bituminous deposits from asphalt plants and paving equipment - Removes road tar from cars and trucks* #266 is USDA approved for use in non-edible food processing areas.
