Schaeffer's 147 Steam Cylinder Oil (5-Gallons) is an extra high performance, high viscosity, extreme pressure lubricant. It is recommended for use in all high pressure wet or saturated content steam cylinder and steam engine applications. Steam Cylinder Oil can also be used in enclosed worm gear applications operating at moderate to high speeds and temperatures. It can also be used where heavy loads, slow speeds or high temperatures require the use of a high viscosity oil. 

Steam Cylinder Oil is blended from the finest high viscosity index, ISO grade 460, solvent refined, and severely hydrofinished base stocks.  This oil is designed to provide the following performance benefits:

• Excellent film strength and integrity at high temperatures
• Resistance to the build-up and formation of harmful deposits
• Non-corrosive to yellow metals such as copper, brass or bronze
• Strong resistance to water washout
• Rust and corrosion inhibition
