Schaeffer's 7412 Tap Shield Advanced (12-Pint case) is a balanced, water-miscible, highly fortified extreme-pressure tapping compound designed for difficult tapping operations requiring excellent adhesion and cling.
Recommended Applications:
- hand tapping
- blind holes
- deep vertical holes
- high-production automatic tapping operations.
Tap Shield Advanced is suitable for use on aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper, brass, exotic alloys, and cast iron.
Tap Shield Advanced has:
- Excellent lubricity to extend tap life and eliminate chip welding, tap burning and tap breakage.
- Will not harden to a dry residue eliminating subsequent operations to remove reside.
- Excellent cooling and lubrication that produces high quality surface finishes.
