Our Customer Safe Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee (this excluding buckets). There is no restocking fee and we'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.(excludes reasons caused by shipper)).

Bucket quantities are not returnable for any reason so please order correctly. SEE Customer Responsibilities.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Our Customer Safe Shipping Policy

We can ship to virtually any physical address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Note: Customer is responsible to provide physical addresses for shipping.  Not doing this may cause shipping delays.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Our Customer Safe "RISK OF LOSS"

All items purchased from Buy Schaeffer Oil are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. The carriers will notify us if packaging is insufficient or lost. We will provide replacement for these causes.  In addition delivery dates are estimated.  If ordering with an expected deadline or if item is time sensitive understand we will do our best but make no promises, therefore, cannot be held responsible for delays.

Damaged or missing merchandise

Please thoroughly inspect your merchandise upon receipt. If there are damages to report, it is your responsibility to contact us within 3 business days from the date of delivery (email). A photo of any damage will be required for claim purposes.   If there is obvious damage to the packaging, please save it in case the carrier wishes to inspect. We will not replace damaged product at our expense after this 3-day period.

Our Recommended: Insured Shipping

Choose "Insured Shipping" and pay a flat rate to insure package contents only and must show proof. Intended to insure contents getting damaged during transport that are rendered unusable for their intended purpose. With proper proof we will replace contents free of charge and will ship free of charge.  This does not insure damaged packaging unless the packaging is part of the useful portion of the product; such as, the plastic packaging to send in an oil sampling kit

Proof: Photos of contents must be provided within three days of delivery.  Photos must be shown inside and out of original packaging along with notes stating the problem(s) and reason(s) why contents cannot be used for their intended purpose. Email photos and notes.

Customer Responsibilities

Before purchasing make certain you are ordering the correct item(s).  On many oils or greases you are given choices.  Choices for grease are numbered from lowest (thin) to highest (thick).  Choices for oil are either for ISO number or SAE numbers.  It is important you order the correct lubricant for each application according to manufactures specifications. 

Best Of All Our Policies Reflect Our Integrity

We value our customer relations and stand behind our service.  Sometimes we error by sending the wrong products.  On very rare occasions we send it out wrong twice in a row.  On these occasions we will credit your money back and send you the right products on our dime.  Not that you will want to use us again we do this because we do not want you to pay for extremely bad service.
