Schaeffer's 285 Diesel Fuel Shock (4-Gallons) is a:

• dual phase,
• oil soluble,
• water soluble,
• potent broad-spectrum biocide.

It is designed to kill, prevent and control bacterial and fungal growth that can occur in:

• diesel fuels,
• biodiesel fuels,
• home heating oils.

Fuel Shock, when used at the recommended treatment rate, can be used to shock treat a fuel storage tank that is infested with a large population of micro-organisms. Fuel Shock will kill these micro-organisms so that they can be removed from the system. After the micro-organisms are killed the fuel should be pumped out of the storage tanks. It should be filtered and recirculated to remove the water bottoms and sludge containing the micro-organisms. This should occur approximately 8 to 24 hours after treatment depending upon the amount of contamination.
